My Experience Using Premier Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World
If you’re considering Premier Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World, it can be a game-changer—especially if it fits within your budget. On our recent trip, we tested different ways to use it and found an efficient, enjoyable strategy that made the most of our time in the parks.
Day 1: Park Hopping with Premier Lightning Lane
We started our day with rope drop at Magic Kingdom without using any Lightning Lane selections. Since Premier Lightning Lane can only be used in one park per day, we saved it for Epcot when we hopped over later.
At Epcot, we took a casual approach, beginning at the front of the park and working our way around. With the Premier Lightning Lane Pass, we were able to experience every major ride at a relaxed pace while making time for shopping, dining, and taking in the atmosphere. The day ended perfectly with a sit-down dinner and fireworks—all without feeling rushed.
Day 2: Multi-Use Lightning Lane & Rise of the Resistance
The next day, we used Lightning Lane Single Use for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Multi-Use Lightning Lane for the rest of the day. We started again at Magic Kingdom and then hopped to Hollywood Studios later on.
With the updated Multi-Use Lightning Lane, you no longer have to wait a set amount of time before getting a new selection—you can book a new Lightning Lane as soon as you use the previous one. Plus, once you scan into your first attraction, you can start booking rides at another park, making park hopping much smoother than before.
Important Update: No More Virtual Queue for Tiana’s & Guardians
✔️ Purchase a Single Use Lightning Lane for either ride
✔️ Use the Standby Line
✔️ Buy both a Premier Pass & Single Use Lightning Lane to ride Guardians twice in one day
If you’re planning a Disney trip soon, these changes and strategies can help you maximize your time while still enjoying a relaxed, fun-filled experience!
